It sounds like to me that this seems like the beginnings of a possible eating disorder. Although it’s not completely cutting off food, it is still quite unhealthy to do so.
The only way..? To lose weight?
Just to give you an idea of what can happen:
When one starves themselves, many changes in the body occur. Firstly, the change many people aim to see when doing this, is a bit of weight loss, however when one starves themselves/purges, there are way more negatives than positives. You don’t get the nutrients you need, your body ends up becoming neglected. So while you may be losing weight, you also become weaker because your bones will get fragile, you will be sore and aching from movement, you can grow hair in places that you don’t normally do, and the hair in your head will thin out, and then begin to fall out. Not only do those happen, but internally, much damage will be done. Your teeth can rot out from malnutrition and your organs will begin to fail you because they won’t have anything to function off of, making it harder to try and keep your body strength up.
Now of course, you are still eating, but if your goal is to lose weight, it can rapidly turn into an eating disorder.
If you want to lose weight, the best way to do it is to eat healthy, and exercise. Make sure you don’t go below around 2000 calories to be healthy.
Hun, self image is a hard thing. I understand that. Keep in mind society did that. It ruined many people’s self esteem. Some things to think of when you feel like starving, is that Marylin Munroe was a size 16, but was considered to be the most beautiful woman on the planet. Years ago, a model weighed 8% less than the average woman, and now she weighs 23% less. Society tries to make us feel bad about who we are so they can keep money flowing in. Besides, size does not matter. I know, this will sound really cliche, but no matter what your size, you are beautiful. So some people at school/work/home/wherever are making rude comments, hold your head high. You are gorgeous just how you are, you don’t need them to evaluate your self worth. You should know that you are worth everything. If they are being rude, try your best to ignore them. They may be saying things about you that hurt and are negative about you on the outside, but they are ugly on the inside. You, on the other hand, outshine them. Don’t let anyone get you down. If you start feeling negative towards yourself, write out a list of all the things you like about yourself. For every negative thing, write out two good ones. Put it up where you see it every day.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck my dear, and please, eat at least three meals a day. You don’t need to deny yourself anything to be beautiful. You already are beautiful. ♥
